We have another ten-ager in the house - oh bliss! Brianna had a great day, however, there was a delay with the cake cutting ceremony, mainly because mum was pretty ill on the big day, and disappointingly, had nothing legitimate to blame it on! Due to the fact that everything is done at the last minute, including gift buying, Nicky was extremely grateful for TradeMe and couriered parcels that turned up on the right day, or she would have gone present-less from her Mum and Dad! We also managed to catch up with Uncle Brendan on Skype, it's pretty tough for Kendall to be serious though!
Here's our uncles ... we miss them heaps, and really love it when we get to talk to them.
Just when I thought it was safe to enter the laundry and not have to breathe in the vapour of sweaty socks and shirts ... it's summer sports time!
James is back into his basketball, here's hoping this season goes a little better the last! Grading matches are complete, the games start Thurs 10/11, Coach Brendan, I'll only bother posting the good news, so don't hold your breath on any results being made public too soon!
Social cricket has also commenced, Ian playing 2x a week. Reports from his opposition have come back suggesting that Ian's teams don't realise it is 'social'. Somebody should tell them that the extra practise they do on the weekend is not required!
UPDATE
James made an unexpected debut for Ecolab Social Cricket tonight, was last to bat and managed to score 2 runs off about 4 balls, then the game ended ... the backyard cricket practises have paid off, after bowling two overs, he had about 12 runs scored against him. Not bad.
Go the AB's!!
Steve - we're looking out for you ! Try streaking - we might get to see you then!
