Went to Auckland for the weekend, stayed at Mike, Claire and Jack's. Took J, B and K to Christmas in the Park, the same idea as another estimated 200,000 people ... (Ian and I underestimated the crowd size, thought there was about 30,000!)
We were only a few hundred metres from the stage ... thanks goodness for a good speaker system! Photo taken with phone, so not the best quality, and the crowd certainly grew from here!
We have been busy with Christmas parties galore, went to New Plymouth for the Ecolab knees up, first trip there since about 1980-something! Nicky travelled down a day earlier for 'work' and searched for that hexagon/polygon shaped house that Mum and Dad looked at to buy ... found every other blimmin' house in NP except that one!
We are looking forward to our last weekend before Christmas at home ...catching up with the last minute pressies, and we might actually get around to putting up something that resembles a tree so Santa knows where to drop his load.
Stephen, Ali, Laura, Jeremy, Cathy, Anthony, Fumiko, Liam, Brendan , Stephen and Roshanna .... we are USELESS, not so much as a card is heading your way , but we promise that we will try to be home when you all call on Christmas Day, if we're not, we do have an answer phone!! ;-)
Hope all of you in the Northern Hemisphere (and there are a few of you!) are really enjoying the weather at the moment.
I tried to take a photo of Snoopy lit up on the roof next door, but all I did was brighten the whole street with my flash, got some prickles in my feet from the neighbours lawn, and got a grainy photo ... will ty another night!!
